Elderly couple, woman found dead in apparent double-murder and suicide in San Antonio, records show

Records say three people were found dead inside a home on the 8600 block of Bristlecone Street in the city’s northwest side.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police are investigating an apparent double-murder and suicide on the northwest side that was discovered off Bandera Road.

Police were called to the 8600 block of Bristlecone Street, just a few blocks north of Mainland Drive, just after 2:30 p.m. Thursday to conduct a welfare check on the elderly couple that lived in a home there, according to records.

Moments later, they asked for the fire department to assist them. That’s when three people were pronounced dead.

The Bexar County medical examiner lists the murder victims as 84-year-old Ernest Dean Adams and 83-year-old Sharon Leahey Adams. Records state they both died from multiple gunshot wounds.

Bexar County property records list the two as the owners of the home.

The medical examiner has ruled the death of 54-year-old Mariah Anne Adams a suicide, saying she died from a single gunshot wound.

The SAPD public information office is closed for the holiday weekend, so additional preliminary information is not available at this time. However, the case is listed at their online crime tracking portal as a homicide.

This is a developing story.
