According to police, the victim was found unresponsive in a nearby pond.
COLLEYVILLE, Texas — An elderly man found unresponsive Sunday morning in a Colleyville pond has since died, officials say.
Police say officers and firefighters were called at about 10:30 a.m. to the 500 block of Fry Lane to help the victim, who had fallen in the back pasture and couldn’t get up.
Upon arrival, officials say they helped the caller, then found her husband, 78-year-old Barry Alldredge, in the pond unresponsive.
Alldredge, a retired doctor in Bedford, was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, but was later pronounced dead.
