SAN ANTONIO — Police say an elderly man on a mobility scooter was hit by a driver who didn’t stop to render aid late Saturday night.
It happened around 11 p.m. in the 600 block of Martin Luther King Drive on the east side of town.
Officers were dispatched to the location for reports of an accident involving a motor vehicle and a man on a mobility scooter.
The 82-year-old man told officers that a driver in an unknown vehicle turned left onto Dreiss Street from Martin Luther King Drive and hit him. The driver then drove off without stopping or helping the man.
The 82-year-old man was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. No description was provided for the suspect or the vehicle they were driving.
