Elotitos Corn Bar takes corn-in-a-cup to a whole other level | Neighborhood Eats

San Antonio’s Elotitos Corn Bar unleashes innovative corn flights, blending nostalgic flavors with unique twists.

SAN ANTONIO — You can get flights of beer, flights of mimosas, and even flights of coffee. But a popular eatery in San Antonio is offering up flights of elote!

Elotitos Corn Bar is the latest restaurant to be featured on KENS 5’s Neighborhood Eats. The restaurant is serving up some unique delights as it continues to carve a niche in the historic Deco District.

The restaurant is located at 1933 Fredericksburg Road, across from the Woodlawn Theatre. Owner Jesus Arreaga has been serving the people of San Antonio their cravings for corn since 2020.

“A lot of really cool ideas sprung during the pandemic, a lot of us were just at home not really doing anything. and I’ve always had the idea of having a business and not necessarily something in the corn field,” Arreaga said.

Elotitos lets you customize your elote to your personal liking, whether you like it spicy with their famous chili paste, topped with hot Cheetos or takis, or even nacho cheese with a layer of crushed doritos.

“I’ve had so many stories, ‘I can’t go back to my home country or I cant go back to my city, and or I haven’t been able to visit, but this is the best version of that’,” Arreaga said.

One of their fan favorites is La Paloma.

“La Paloma, its our best seller, it has cream mayo, parmesan cheese, queso fresco, and that one is the white corn, the Mexican imported corn,” Arreaga said.

If you can’t decide which cup you want, Elotitos offers a flight of corn with up to five of their flavors so you can eat knowing you’re not missing out.

“The flight just really made sense, cause normally they have tequila flights, bourbon flights. and I said ‘let me see if anyone is doing a corn flight’, and indeed nobody did,” Arreaga said.
