
Police are searching for a woman accused of assaulting an employee during a robbery at a northeast-side business Saturday night before fleeing in a red Ford F-150.
SAN ANTONIO — SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are searching for a suspect after an employee was assaulted during a robbery at a business Saturday night on the city’s northeast side.
According to SAPD, the incident happened around 9 p.m. in the 9400 block of IH-35 North.
Police say a 57-year-old woman entered the business and stole merchandise. A 26-year-old employee tried to follow the suspect to recover the items, but investigators say the suspect assaulted the employee in order to keep control of the stolen merchandise.
The suspect then fled the scene before officers arrived, driving away in a red Ford F-150.
The employee was not reported to have serious injuries.
The case is being investigated as a robbery. Police say the investigation is active and ongoing and information may change as new details become available.
