The woman told Johnson High School officials that she and a student were exchanging inappropriate pictures.
SAN ANTONIO — A now-former staff member at Johnson High School who is wanted on a warrant for a child grooming charge is on the run from law enforcement, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office says.
A warrant has been issued for Daniela Franco, who had been employed as a paraprofessional assistant at the high school since August 2022.
The sheriff’s office’s fugitive apprehension team has made several attempts to locate Franco but has been unable to locate her or make any progress on finding her.
The school’s principal, Gary Comalander, said earlier this month that Franco came forward in October to report that she and a Johnson High School student were exchanging inappropriate pictures through a social media platform.
The school district says they immediately contacted the North East ISD Police Department, and officers launched an investigation.
Child Protective Services and the student’s family were also contacted.
The employee chose to resign in lieu of termination that same day, Comalander says.
NEPD has determined there was no physical contact and no one else was involved.
If anyone has information on Franco’s whereabouts, you are asked to contact the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office at 210-335-6000 or email BCSOTIPS@bexar.org. You can remain anonymous.
