FAA: Only pilot was on board of small plane crash in Denton County

The Justin Fire Department responded to a plane crash near the Propwash Airport Friday evening.

JUSTIN, Texas — Emergency crews are responding to the scene of a plane crash in Denton County Friday evening, officials said.

According to the Justin Fire Department, a small plane crashed near 15663 Cessna Road around 7:10 p.m. just outside of the city limits near the Propwash Airport, which is about 30 miles north of Fort Worth.

It’s unclear how many people were on board and the extent of their injuries. JFD said multiple investigations into the crash are currently underway.

“We are actively working to gather more information and ensure the safety of those in the surrounding area,” Justin Fire Chief Matthew Mitchell said. “Our thoughts are with those involved and their families.”

WFAA has a crew at the scene gathering information.
