Family searching for missing Alamo College student, Evelin Rosales, missing for 10 days now

“It’s been gut wrenching. It’s been hard. It also seems surreal, like this isn’t really happening, but this is real, this is happening,” said Jose Macias.

SAN ANTONIO — Evelin Rosales, a 21-year old Alamo Colleges student, has been missing for 10 days after being involved in a car crash.

Rosales’ family says they are now left without answers, and her disappearance is out of character.

On Wednesday afternoon Evelin’s father Jaime Rosales, and Judson ISD School Board President Jose Macias took to the neighborhood where she was last seen to search for answers.

“On the 21st of April, was the last time anyone had seen her,” said Macias.

Macias said on that day, Evelin was involved in a car crash in the 1500 block of Southwest 19th Street near Laredo Street and her car was impounded. Since then, no one has been able to reach her.

“She wasn’t reporting to work, she wasn’t in school, just missing. Her phone was not activated, no social media presence, so it’s really just, where is she?” said Macias.

Evelin’s family hopes someone in the community can give them some answers.

“It’s been gut wrenching. It’s been hard. It’s also seemed surreal, like this isn’t really happening, but this is real this is happening,” said Macias.

Macias says Evelin’s disappearance is highly unusual and out of character. The family says they love her dearly, and there are a lot of missing pieces to her disappearance.

“We don’t know where she would have gone, we don’t know if she’s okay. We just know nothing, and so now we need to start doing a little more to find out where is she?” said Macias.

If you have any information about the whereabouts of Evelin Rosales, your urged to contact San Antonio’s Missing Person’s Unit at 210-207-7660.
