Fans in south central Pennsylvania celebrate Eagles Super Bowl win

The Eagles won their second Super Bowl in franchise history over the Chiefs 40-22.

HARRISBURG, Pa. — The Philadelphia Eagles won their second Super Bowl championship in franchise history when they defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX, and fans in south central Pennsylvania celebrated long into the night.

Raucous Eagles fans packed Mr. G’s Sports Bar in Harrisburg, which has long been a destination for Eagles fans.

The fans celebrated throughout the evening, climaxing as the Eagles won their second Lombardi Trophy.

The owner of Mr. G’s says that even after 28 years of the restaurant’s existence, the atmosphere at the Super Bowl still trumped all other occasions.

“I really believe that this is probably going to be the biggest party that we ever had here in the 28 years that we’ve been here,” said owner Georgios Giannaris. “The energy, the electricity. People that couldn’t be seated, that couldn’t find a table, they came through earlier all day wishing us good luck, showing their love. It’s unbelievable.”

The Eagles will celebrate their championship in a parade this week.
