FC Dallas honors Texas flood victims with a tribute patch and fundraising efforts at Saturday’s match.๐
FRISCO, Texas โ After giving a joint donation of $500,000 with its fellow Texas clubs Austin FC and Houston Dynamo, FC Dallas will honor Texas flood victims and the relief efforts with a commemorative patch, an on-field tribute and other fundraising efforts at Saturday’s match.
The commemorative patch uses the colorway of FC Dallas’ newly-released throwback “Legacy Kit,” which the team will wear against St. Louis CITY SC on Saturday. St. Louis CITY SC players will also wear a patch on their jerseys.
All of FC Dallas’ game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off, with proceeds benefitting flood relief. The auction will be conducted through the DASH auction app.
Beginning with Saturday’s match โ and throughout the remainder of the season โ FC Dallas will feature a special on-field stencil to honor the victims of the Central Texas flooding.
โThis tragedy has deeply impacted our community, our club, and our hearts,โ said FC Dallas President Dan Hunt. โWe are committed to honoring those weโve lost and supporting those who now face the long journey of healing and rebuilding.”
A member of the Hunt family, 9-yera-old Janie Hunt, was among the victims at Camp Mystic. According to members of the Hunt family, Janie was attending the camp with several cousins.
FC Dallas will also be selling a limited number of green Camp Mystic tribute t-shirts available to purchase at the FC Dallas Fan Shop and Soccer90 for $15. All proceeds will supporting FC Dallasโ Central Texas Flood Relief Fund.
Finally, fans can purchase the 30th anniversary commemorative match poster for $5 at all Toyota Stadium retail locations. All proceeds benefit flood relief efforts in Central Texas.
