SAPD says the two groups have been feuding for possibly months and finally reached their breaking point.
SAN ANTONIO — Two groups of teenage girls feuding on the west side leads to a man being shot and stabbed multiple times late Tuesday.
San Antonio responded to the 200 block of Moraima Street near Castroville Street around 9 p.m. for reports of a shooting in progress.
Officers arrived and found a man in his 40s with both multiple gunshot wounds and stab wounds. He was taken to University Hospital in critical condition.
Police believe that the girls have possibly been feuding for months until Tuesday night, when they reached the breaking point. SAPD says they believe the victim is the father of one of the girls involved. They also believe the suspected shooter is an aquaintance of one of the girls. It is not clear who may have stabbed the victim.
Neighbors reported hearing a loud argument taking place on the street beofre shots were fired. Both the altercation between the two groups of girls and the shooting were captured by security cameras in neighboring homes.
Police say the suspected shooter is on the run at this time. Officials did not provide a description of the suspect.
The crime scene remains under investigation.
