SAN ANTONIO — Fiesta season may still be months away, but San Antonio is already getting a sparkly sneak peek at what’s ahead.
The Fiesta Flambeau Parade Association is set to unveil the official 2026 Grand Marshal Fiesta Medal this Friday with some familiar, larger-than-life guests.
It was recently announced that SeaWorld San Antonio favorites Shamu and friends will serve as grand marshals for the 2026 Fiesta Flambeau Parade, billed as the nation’s largest illuminated night parade. The parade will roll through downtown on April 25, 2026.
The medal reveal will take place at The Shops at Rivercenter, on the Lagoon River Level, and you can expect plenty of photo opportunities with Torchy, Shamu and friends. As an added bonus, the first 100 guests through the door will receive a free Fiesta medal while supplies last.
Organizers say the event marks the official kickoff to the 2026 Fiesta season and the countdown to America’s largest illuminated night parade.
The event is scheduled for Friday, January 9, at 3:30 p.m., and it’s open to everyone, giving Fiesta fans an early reason to celebrate.
