Fight between brothers leaves one injured, police say

Police say their mother tried to break up the fight before asking one the brother’s girlfriends to intervene.

SAN ANTONIO — A fight between two brothers left one injured after one of the brothers’ girlfriend grabbed a knife and attacked the brother, police say.

It happened around 3:15 a.m. Sunday in the 500 block of Vickers Avenue, near West Southcross Boulevard.

Police say the two brothers were fighting and their mom tried to break it up. She asked one of the brothers’ girlfriends to help break the fight up and the 30-year-old woman grabbed a knife. She allegedly began attacking the 31-year-old brother, cutting him several times in his upper torso. She also cut the 60-year-old mother’s hand before running off.

Police located the suspect nearby and arrested her for aggravated assault.
