Fight ends in fatal shooting outside 210 Sports Cantina & Grill

An altercation outside a Southwest Side bar turned deadly Thursday morning, March 14, after shots were fired from multiple locations. Little is known about the shooter or the young man who was killed in the fight that broke out outside a San Antonio bar.

Right around 2:22 a.m. Thursday morning, a fight broke out outside 210 Sports Cantina & Grill at 1946 SW Military Drive near South Park Mall on the Southwest Side of San Antonio. According to early reports from the San Antonio Police Department, shots were fired from two locations during the altercation, sending several people fleeing across the the San Antonio nightlife spot’s parking lot.

In the crossfire, a man in his 30s was struck in the chest. Though first responders conducted lifesaving measures, the man was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS, according to preliminary information from San Antonio Police Department.

Homicide detectives continue to investigate the fatal shooting, but no information or details about a potential suspect has been released to the public as of 7 a.m. Thursday morning. In all, the San Antonio Police Department, the San Antonio Fire Department, and EMS responded to the fatal Southwest Side Shooting.

The name of the deceased has yet to be released by the San Antonio Police Department nor the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office as of early Thursday morning. This is a developing story, and MySA will continue to update as more information becomes available.
