Fill the pantry, fill the stands: Free Valero Alamo Bowl tickets up for grabs

Donate food or $30 at the San Antonio Food Bank and score free tickets to watch USC take on TCU in the Valero Alamo Bowl.

SAN ANTONIO — Football fans, this one’s a win-win.

The San Antonio Food Bank is giving away free tickets to the 33rd Annual Valero Alamo Bowl during its Fill the Bowl event on Monday, Dec. 29, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Bring 30 non-perishable food items from the Food Bank’s 12 Most Wanted List or make a $30 donation, and you’ll score two free tickets, while supplies last.

This year’s game features the #16 USC Trojans taking on the TCU Horned Frogs on Tuesday, Dec. 30 at 8 p.m.

The event happens at the San Antonio Food Bank’s Harvey E. Najim Children’s Pavilion. For the latest ticket availability, head to safoodbank.org/fillthebowl.

Clean out the pantry, help your neighbors, and head to the bowl game… it doesn’t get better than that.
