Find your lucky charm: $25 pet adoptions for St. Patrick’s Day in San Antonio

City of San Antonio Animal Care Services is offering $25 adoptions for dogs and cats on St. Patrick’s Day to help more pets find homes.

SAN ANTONIO — Feeling lucky this St. Patrick’s Day? 🍀 You might just meet your new best friend.

City of San Antonio Animal Care Services is celebrating the holiday with a one-day adoption special, giving pets a chance to find their “pot of gold,” a forever home.

On Tuesday, March 17, adoption fees for all available dogs and cats are just $25 at the city’s municipal shelter on State Highway 151.

And it’s not just a great deal, it’s a great start. Every adopted pet goes home spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped with lifetime registration.

Shelter staff say the goal is simple: help more pets get out of kennels and into loving homes, especially as the shelter continues caring for hundreds of animals.

Whether you’re looking for a playful pup, a laid-back cat or just want to see who steals your heart, organizers say the best way is to stop by and meet them in person.

Adoptions are available from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and with a deal like this, your “lucky charm” might not be waiting long.

So if you’ve been thinking about adopting, today might be your sign to take a chance and head home with a new four-legged friend. 🐾
