Fire and possible explosion at apartment complex on west side, officials said

Firefighters said the structure showed obvious signs of an explosion in the original apartment.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio fire crews responded to a fire that appeared to have possibly caused an explosion at an apartment complex on the west side Saturday afternoon, officials said. 

Crews responded to a structure fire on the 2700 block of Observation Drive around 12:45 p.m.

Firefighters said the structure showed obvious signs of an explosion in the original apartment. 

Officials said the fire is out and no injuries were reported.
