
Firefighters knocked down a duplex fire on San Antonio’s east side early Wednesday morning, with no injuries reported and damage limited to part of the structure.
SAN ANTONIO — Firefighters quickly knocked down a fire at a duplex on the city’s east side early Wednesday morning.
The fire was reported around 1:14 a.m. in the 600 block of North Palmetto Avenue, near Nolan Street.
According to the San Antonio Fire Department, crews arrived to find flames showing from the back corner of the duplex. Everyone inside was able to escape safely before firefighters arrived.
Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the back corner of the structure and a window, preventing it from spreading to the rest of the building.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by SAFD’s Fire Investigation and Arson unit.
