SAN ANTONIO — Firefighters battled a blaze at a boarded up home on the west side of town late Tuesday night.
It happened just before 10 p.m. in the 2000 block of Lyons Street near North Elmendorf Street.
When firefighters arrived, they found heavy fire showing from the back of the boarded up house. They were able to knock it down quickly, but officials say that more than 80% of the home suffered damage.
Neighbors said they have seen people going in and out of the back of the house.
The cause of the fire has been ruled accidental. Firefighters will contact the city to determine if the structure needs to be demolished.
No injuries were reported.
