
Firefighters rescued a person from the back of the house but the person took off before they could be checked out.
SAN ANTONIO — Firefighters find a woman inside a home on fire just west of downtown early Wednesday morning and then they say she just ran away.
San Antonio firefighters responded to a home on North Colorado Street and Perez Street, west of downtown, around 4:22 a.m. for reports of a fire.
Firefighters say the home was boarded up, but rescued a woman they found in the back of the house. She ran off before being evaluated and crews were not able to give her any medical attention for any possible injures.
No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. There is no estimate on the amount of damages caused.
