AUSTIN, Texas — Firefighters with the Austin Fire Department (AFD) battled a fire at a vacant building in South Austin Saturday evening.
The building is located in the 7800 block of Peaceful Hill Lane, just west of I-35.
According to AFD, an 18-wheeler and a pile of tires in the area also caught fire. Crews were able to contain the fire at around 7 p.m.
AFD crews will remain at the scene to make sure the fire doesn’t reignite.
