One was in an abandoned auto shop on the southwest side and the other was inside an east-side vacant home
SAN ANTONIO — Two abandoned buildings were destroyed by fire late Tuesday and early Wednesday across San Antonio, according to firefighters.
The first one happened just before midnight Tuesday in the 2400 block of Palo Alto Road near Palo Alto College. Firefighters arrived to that location and found flames shooting through the roof of an abandoned auto shop.
Officials say the building is a total loss and they are looking for the cause.
The second fire happened at an abandoned house in the 2600 block of East Commerce near North Walters Street on the east side of town.
The fire captain says when crews arrived at the home, it was already fully engulfed in flames.
The house next door also suffered some minor damage due to the heat and flames.
Public works was called to the location to tear down what was left of the house.

No injuries were reported at either location.
