SAN ANTONIO — Firefighters in San Antonio rescued a couple of drivers from their vehicles after they got stuck in high water early Tuesday morning.
It happened on Old Highway 90 West at Leon Creek Greenway South. Officials with SAFD said this area is prone to flooding in heavy rain.
A box truck got stuck in the low water crossing going one direction on the frontage road, and a car was caught in the water going the other direction on the frontage road.
Both drivers were rescued from their vehicles by firefighters.
Bexar County Flood reminds drivers, “If you see water over the road, please turn around and find a different route. It is illegal to drive around barricades at low water crossings.”
“Turn around, don’t drown.”
