SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio fire crews battled a house fire on the northeast side of the city Monday morning, saving several animals in the process, officials say.
Firefighters were called to the 6300 block of Marrogot Run around 8:30 a.m. for a reported fire in the garage that was quickly spreading to the home.
Officials say the people inside the home were able to escape along with a dog. Firefighters were also able to save a cat and turtle from the flames.
A total of 15 units were dispatched to the fire.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire has not been determined and remains under investigation.
