Firefighters swiftly contain blaze at west-side San Antonio home

All residents got out safely and no injuries were reported, according to SAFD.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio firefighters quickly put out flames at a home on the city’s west side early Saturday morning.

Fire officials said the blaze broke out in the garage of a home on the 5200 block of Grovehill Drive just before 1 a.m. and began to spread quickly.

Crews were able to quickly prevent the fire from spreading further. Officials said the home sustained moderate damage.

All residents got out safely and no injuries were reported, according to SAFD.

Investigators are working to determine what caused the fire.
