SAN ANTONIO — Tequila lovers, foodies and beach-bound Texans now have a brand-new festival to pour onto their calendars for the Spring.
TequilaCon, a first-of-its-kind celebration, will debut February 27–March 1, 2026, at the picturesque Margaritaville Beach Resort South Padre Island.
Billed as Texas’ newest premier tequila-inspired experience, TequilaCon is mixing world-class tequila brands, expert educators, celebrity culinary talent and breezy beachfront vibes for a three-day escape on what organizers call “the best beach in the state.”
A Star Chef + Tequila Pairings
The inaugural festival will feature Guest Chef José Treviño, known for his inventive takes on regional Mexican cuisine. Chef Treviño will help craft signature brunch dishes and lead the marquee event of the weekend: an exclusive five-course tequila-paired dinner, designed to spotlight the depth, aroma and flavor of premium tequila expressions.

Friday, February 27 — Welcome to TequilaCon
Guests kick off the celebration with signature tequila cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, live trio music and a South Padre sunset setting the mood.
Saturday, February 28 — A Full Tequila Immersion
The day begins with a Bloody Maria bar and Mexican-inspired brunch, followed by hands-on sessions including:
The evening features a guided tasting of Blanco, Reposado, Añejo, Extra Añejo and Cristalino tequilas, followed by the festival’s main culinary event — the five-course tequila dinner, complete with live acoustic guitar. The night wraps with the Afterglow Party, serving late-night cocktails and a five-piece Latin band.
Sunday, March 1 — Farewell
