SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs (26-36) will host the Dallas Mavericks (32-33) tonight for the first game of a two-game home set versus Dallas.
GAME REWIND
The Spurs are coming off a 141-124 road loss to the Timberwolves.
De’Aaron Fox scored 22 points and three rebounds, Keldon Johnson scored 13 points, and Chris Paul had seven points and seven assists.
Jeremy Sochan added five and three rebounds. Stephon Castle finished with 20, and Harrison Barnes recorded 15.
Victor Wembanyama will miss the remainder of the season due to deep vein thrombosis, and Charles Bassey did not play due to an injury.
“Give them (Minnesota) credit they played a good game, they made some tough shots. I thought first half we got lost a few times off the ball, screens that hurt us, the offensive rebounds crushed us,” said Mitch Johnson. “I think they hit four, maybe five in the first half alone, not sure in the second half but that’s seven or eight right there just in the offensive rebounds and then just getting lost on off ball screens and we know they’re gonna hit some tough ones.”
INJURY REPORT
- Charles Bassey, Victor Wembanyama, David Duke Jr., Riley Minix, and Harrison Ingram – out
- Jeremy Sochan – doubtful
- Stephon Castle – questionable
THE UNIFORMS
