Five things to watch: Spurs put winning streak on the line against Raptors

The Spurs, riding a nine-game winning streak and dominating the NBA, are set to face the Toronto Raptors as part of their ongoing 2026 Rodeo Trip.

SAN ANTONIO — Fresh off one of their best wins of the season, the San Antonio Spurs (41-16) will put their nine-game winning streak on the line when they visit the Toronto Raptors (34-24) as part of their ongoing Rodeo Road Trip.

San Antonio beat the East-leading Detroit Pistons on Monday, a physical matchup between two of the NBA’s best squads. An encore victory in Toronto would give the Silver & Black their first 10-game winning streak since the 2015-16 season, when the Big Three era was coming to a close.

The Spurs are also two wins away from capping an unbeaten month of regular-season action. Tipoff is at 6:30 p.m. CT, with the game available to watch on FanDuel Southwest or NBA League Pass.

GAME REWIND

The Spurs beat the Detroit Pistons, 114-103, Monday night on the road. Devin Vassell led the team with 28 points and two rebounds, pacing San Antonio’s offense. The Spurs have now won nine straight games, the league’s longest active streak.

Keldon Johnson finished with nine points. Harrison Barnes added three points. Victor Wembanyama scored 21 points and grabbed 17 rebounds, and Stephon Castle had 16 points and 11 assists. De’Aaron Fox chipped in  10 points. Dylan Harper tallied five points in 18 minutes. Julian Champagnie finished with 17 points as each Spurs starter scored at least 10.

“I think we can play against all types of teams. Whatever team plays fast, whatever team plays slow, I think we can play in a lot of different varieties,” Castle said after the game. “Coming into the game, we knew it was going to be a physical game, so we [tried] to match that and be the aggressor in that, and I thought we did a good job doing it.”
