The Spurs will try to beat the Bucks without rookie Victor Wembanyama.

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs (4-21) will visit the Milwaukee Bucks (19-7) today but will be without rookie Victor Wembanyama due to right ankle soreness.

GAME REWIND

The Spurs are coming off a home loss versus the Pelicans, 146-110.

Victor Wembanyama finished with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Malaki Branham recorded 11 points. Zach Collins had two points and five rebounds in the win. Jeremy Sochan had five points and four assists. Keldon Johnson added 13 points and eight rebounds. Devin Vassell recorded 13 points in the loss.

“That’s what you call an ass-whooping. Pure and simple. Drop the mic. Period. Full stop, all that kind of stuff. They had a great night shooting,” Gregg Popovich said. “We couldn’t throw it in the ocean. But on top of shooting well, they played very well. We weren’t as sharp as we needed to be and got whipped real good.”

INJURY REPORT

The Spurs will be without Wembanyama (sore right ankle) for tonight’s contest. Also, Blake Wesley will not be available as he’s with the Austin Spurs.
