Former Bexar Co. deputy constable sentenced to deferred adjudication after allegedly groping woman

The former Precinct 2 deputy constable will never be able to hold a Texas Peace Officer position again.

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — A former Bexar County Precinct 2 deputy constable has been sentenced to 24 months of deferred adjudication and will never be able to hold a Texas peace officer position again after he allegedly groped a woman on the job.

In January of last year, constable Maximiliano Marquez stopped a woman, did not notify dispatch and did not activate his body worn camera.

Prosecutors say Marquez asked the woman if she had drugs and then touched her breasts while she was in her vehicle.

Prosecutors say he then illegally searched the woman a second time.

No drugs were found and no ticket was ever issued.

Marquez pleaded no contest to the charge of official oppression.
