Former Comal ISD teacher faces new charges related to alleged sexual offenses with student in 2024

Jail records show four new felony charges were filed Wednesday against 51-year-old Jennifer Massey, a former art teacher at Davenport High School.

GARDEN RIDGE, Texas — A former Comal ISD teacher arrested in 2024 after authorities said she was discovered engaging in sexual contact with a juvenile, now faces more charges.

Jail records show 51-year-old Jennifer Massey, was charged on October 3, 2024 for an improper relationship between an educator and a student.

Massey, a former art teacher at Davenport High School, was arrested at a home under construction on the 22000 block of Citadel Point where investigators said she was caught “engaging in sexual conduct” with a male juvenile.

Massey was placed on administrative leave by Comal ISD and did not return to the classroom.

On July 2, records show, four new charges were filed against Massey. 

She now faces felony counts related to sex trafficking, sexual assault of a child and two counts of indecency with a child sexual contact, according to officials.

Following Massey’s arrest last year, Comal ISD provided KENS 5 with the following statement:

“The district does not condone inappropriate relationships between teachers and students. Ensuring the safety and security of our students is our top priority. We will continue to cooperate fully with law enforcement during their investigation.”
