FRISCO, Texas — A day before Rashaan Evans’ release from the Dallas Cowboys, the linebacker was arrested Tuesday by the Frisco Police Department.
He is charged with possession of marijuana, according to Frisco Police.
Evans – the former first-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft – joined the Cowboys in October. The 28-year-old played in nine games this season for Dallas.
It’s unclear if the Cowboys waived him specifically because of the arrest, but Evans was released by the team on Wednesday morning.
This is a developing story and WFAA will update once we receive more information.
