SAN ANTONIO — A former Judson ISD teacher was sentenced by a judge on Thursday for the continuous sexual abuse of his first-grade students.
The Bexar County Criminal District Attorney’s Office said Ryan England was found guilty by a jury of having inappropriately touched his first-grade students on their genitals both during class and after school.
The abuse of the young children continued, according to officials, even after they moved into the second grade where England would pull them from Adventure Club under the guise of tutoring them.
England was handed a 60-year sentence without the possibility of parole by 379th District Court Judge Ron Rangel.
“Today’s verdict is a reminder of the importance of vigilance and support in safeguarding our children,” said Bexar County District Attorney Joe Gonzales. “Our mission will always be to create a safer environment for our children by holding those who choose to exploit them accountable.”
