Former NFL wide receiver and Buffalo native Mike Williams dies after construction site accident

The former Bills and Bucs receiver was 36.

TAMPA, Fla. — Former Bills and Bucs wide receiver Mike Williams has been killed after sustaining injuries in a construction accident. 

He was 36.

The Buffalo native played high school football at Riverside before a collegiate career at Syracuse University.  Tampa Bay drafted him in the fourth round in 2010.  He played four seasons with the Bucs before finishing his career with the Bills in 2014. 

WGRZ has confirmed the story that was first reported by Jon Scott of Spectrum.
