The former CEO of a popular Central Texas-based burger chain is continuing his work as a leader in the food industry for another popular brand.
Easy Tiger announced on Wednesday, May 15, that Todd Coerver would be its new chief executive officer. Coerver, who was most recently the CEO of the P. Terry’s Burger Stand chain, will now be taking on the same role at another Austin-born eatery.
“We’re excited to welcome Todd on board; his proven success in shaping top-notch organizations and brands aligns with our vision for Easy Tiger,” said David Norman, Founder of Easy Tiger, in a news release. “We are eager to benefit from his extensive restaurant and food industry experience.”
Easy Tiger is a beer garden, restaurant and bakery in Austin with locations on South Lamar and at The Linc.
Coerver has over three decades of experience in the Texas restaurant and food industry. In addition to P. Terry’s, Coerver has held positions such as vice president of marketing and innovation at Whataburger, COO of San Antonio-based Taco Cabana and CEO of Larkburger in Colorado.

Easy Tiger had a few recent setbacks this year with the closure of its East Austin location and an investigation from the U.S. Department of Labor following reports of tip theft from its South Lamar location. However, Coerver explained to KXAN he hopes to keep these issues in the past and prevent them from recurring as he takes on the new role.
“A big reason I’ve joined the company is to help ensure we don’t encounter some of those challenges in the future,” Coerver told KXAN. “I have a pretty long track record of not only building businesses but building cultures that care for the employees and give the employees a place they can professionally call home.”
As Easy Tiger’s new CEO, Coerver will focus on enhancing employee satisfaction, elevating the customer experience and maintaining high levels of food quality, the release says. Coerver also mentioned to KXAN that he wants to expand Easy Tiger’s bakery distribution to other city businesses.
