
SAN ANTONIO — UTSA saw one player drafted in the 2025 NFL Draft in CB Zah Frazier, who went 169th overall to the Chicago Bears.
But he isn’t the only UTSA Roadrunner to get a shot in the NFL. Several players have signed undrafted free agent deals with various NFL teams.
Senior TE Oscar Cardenas signed a deal with the Arizona Cardinals shortly after the draft ended. He joins a TE room led by Pro Bowler Trey McBride.
Cardenas is coming off a season where he played eight games and totaled 141 yards and 3 touchdowns. That landed him on the All-American AAC second team. He was also a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy.
His best year came in 2022 where he totaled 441 yards and hauled in 2 touchdowns.
Senior DL Joe Evans is heading to Indianapolis where he has signed an undrafted free agent deal.
In five games last season, he recorded one sack and 1.5 tackles for loss.
In three years as a Roadrunner, he totaled 4.5 sacks.
Senior S Elliott Davison has signed an undrafted free agent deal with the New Orleans Saints.
Davison joined UTSA after three years at Incarnate Word where he totaled 8 interceptions. In his two years at UTSA, he totaled 2 interceptions.
