SAN ANTONIO — Kitten season is in full swing in San Antonio, and San Antonio Pets Alive urgently needs your help!
They say that now more than ever kitten fosters are needed.
“With over 40 kittens arriving at Animal Care Services (ACS) every single day, timely placement into foster homes is critical to giving them a chance at life,” says SAPA! “We need compassionate members of the community to step up this summer and help save lives.”
They have kittens of all ages with varying needs. The best part about becoming a foster is that they will give you everything you need to take care of the furry babies.
SAPA! provides all necessary supplies, including formula, bottles, food, and litter, and covers all medical care.
And if you are new to fostering, they will even provide you with a mentor to help answer all of your questions, and give you guidance and support.
SAPA!’s dedicated staff is also always available to assist with any questions or concerns.
Currently, fosters are needed for:
- Bottle baby kittens (requiring regular feedings around the clock)
- Weaning kittens (learning to eat wet food)
- Adoption-ready kittens (ready to meet their forever families)
- And mamas with their litters (who do most of the work themselves!)
It doesn’t matter what your level of expertise is regarding kittens, there are options for everyone and summertime is the perfect time to help out!
