The siblings managed to rescue three family pets from flames.
SAN ANTONIO — First responders arrived at a house fire Thursday afternoon to find four children – the youngest 3 months old – escaping the flames with three house pets in tow.
No one was seriously hurt, according to San Antonio Fire Department officials at the scene near Potranco Road and Loop 1604. An ambulance was already in the area when they saw the smoke around 4 p.m. and responded.
The oldest of the children was 15 years old, and officials say their parents weren’t home at the time.

It’s not yet known how the fire sparked. The children were able to rescue their hamster, cat and dog.
