SAN ANTONIO — Four people have now been found dead and more rescued from trees in high water on the northeast side of San Antonio.
The San Antonio Fire Department confirms that it was two men and two women who were found. One of the bodies was located near Perrin Beitel and Loop 410 and another was found on Briar Glen.
Officials believe that all were initially in cars, but were found in trees when fire and rescue arrived. SAFD says that at least two people are still unaccounted for at this time. 13 people were rescued, according to SAPD Chief McManus.
This initial call came in just after 5 a.m. at the Briar Glen Trailhead near Perrin Beitel and Austin Highway.
