SAN ANTONIO — Four people are in the hospital with severe injuries after an accident on the north side, according to police.

San Antonio police were called to the intersection of General Krueger and Blossom View at about 6:12 p.m. for a major accident.

According to preliminary information from police, a truck driven by an older woman was sitting at the stop sign at the aforementioned intersection.

When the truck continued past the stop sign northbound, a white car driving at a high rate of speed on General Krueger eastbound “t-boned the truck,” according to police.

The white car had five people inside. EMS says four people in that car were taken to the hospital with critical injuries. The gender and ages of the victims are currently unknown, but police believe it is a mix of male and female.

The woman in the truck was able to get out the truck with no injuries.

It’s unclear if the driver of the white car was intoxicated or not as police did not find any open containers at the scene.

This is a developing situation and KENS 5 will continue to update this article as we learn more.
