From mariachi music on the River Walk, a glowing dance party at Hemisfair, a celebration of German culture and more—it’s a good weekend for families to get out and explore.

Noche De Fiesta: Mariachi Fridays & Vendor Fair
Kick off your weekend with the live mariachi music, a mini local vendor market and festive vibes along the River Walk.
San Antonio’s award-winning mariachi group, Mariachi Azteca de America, will be performing on the riverfront of Hotel Contessa at the Ambler Restaurant.

August Gartenfest
Celebrate German culture with a night of music, dance and beer at August Gartenfest, happening Friday at the Beethoven Maennerchor.
The festive event will feature performances from live bands and sing-alongs. Headlining the event is Das Its Lustig.
Plus, bring the kids to enjoy the Kinderzone and join in the Kindermarsch.

Immersive outdoor concert
Bring the family out to Confluence Park on Saturday for a free one-night-only outdoor concert featuring original works by emerging composers from across the country.
The event, hosted by the San Antonio River Foundation, blends music, ecology and celebrates the heritage of the SA River.
Thirteen visiting composers will present new short pieces inspired by site visits, poetic prompts and environmental soundscapes.
This year’s special guests include Part Music from Germany and local Pamela Martinez, who is known for creative immersive site-specific work inspired by native plants and historical spaces.

Glow dance party
Happening Saturday, dress in your brightest neon and dance the night away at Hemisfair Park.
The Super Fun Saturday: Glow Dance Party features live music, dancing, interactive activity stations and plenty of glowing fun.
Light up the night and celebrate the conclusion of summer with the whole family.

Back-to-school farmers market
Join Gardopia Gardens on Saturday for a morning of fresh food, fun and community vibes before getting the kids ready to head back to the classroom.
The Back to School Farmers Market will have free produce for families, a chef demonstration, music and a free school supply giveaway while supplies last.
