
As rabies cases increase within the region, Bexar County Animal Care is hosting a free rabies vaccine clinic to support pet owners and keep the community safe.
BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — Bexar County Animal Care is hosting a free rabies vaccine clinic as rabies cases are on the rise across the region.
In back-to-back days, 2 separate foxes tested positive for rabies in north Bexar County.
This brings the county’s total to 16 confirmed rabies cases so far in 2025.
Following this week’s two positive cases, Bexar County Animal Care will be hosting a free rabies vaccine clinic on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to support pet owners and keep the community safe.
The clinic will take place at the Bexar-Bulverde Fire Department located on the 23103 block of Bulverde Road.
The clinic will be held for 100 pets with a limit of two pets per household.
Official say a rabies vaccine is the best way to prevent the spread of rabies and is required by state law.
