Giveaways, watch parties and public events planned across San Antonio during series vs. Knicks
SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs announced Monday a slate of fan activations across the city to celebrate the Silver & Black’s advance to the NBA Finals against the New York Knicks, including watch parties, giveaways, retail opportunities and public events.
The Spurs said the free, public activations are designed to boost fan engagement and team spirit throughout the Finals.
A Finals pep rally is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Red McCombs Community Court at Hemisfair’s Tower Park. The event will include free Taco Palenque tacos for the first 700 fans, along with special appearances and giveaways while supplies last.
The Spurs said official watch parties will continue at The Rock at La Cantera for all Finals games. Attendance is limited and will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis, according to the team. Fans are encouraged to RSVP at https://www.spurs.com/playoffs, though RSVPs do not guarantee entry.
Frost Bank Center will host free watch parties for all away games. Tickets are required but do not guarantee entry, the team said. Attendance will be limited and granted on a first-come, first-served basis with a required ticket. Fans can join the Spurs Fan Club to receive notifications when tickets become available at https://www.spurs.com/fanclub.
Participating Pluckers Wing Bar locations in San Antonio and Austin will stream all Spurs Finals games, the team said. Customers wearing Spurs gear at those locations can receive five free wings with the purchase of an adult entrée, while supplies last and subject to Pluckers’ offer terms.
The organization also announced a River Walk art installation featuring bridge designs in Fiesta colors throughout downtown. The artwork will appear on multiple bridges during the series.
Several fan activations from earlier playoff rounds will continue through the Finals, the team said, including the downtown pop-up fan shop at CENTRO’s La Zona location and partner giveaways such as free Taco Palenque breakfast tacos after every Spurs win.
