SAN ANTONIO — Located just one block from The Pearl in downtown San Antonio, The Vine is redefining how local artisans connect with the community.
Designed as a year-round, climate-controlled micro farmers market, the space offers an intimate alternative to traditional retail—giving small businesses a place to grow without the unpredictability of weather.
The concept was founded by husband and wife Will and Shannon Corbitt, who say the inspiration for The Vine is rooted in faith.
“Our discovery of The Vine comes from the Bible—John 15,” said Will Corbitt, co-founder. “I am the fruit, you are the branch.”
“We want our vendors to be fruitful, just like we’re sprouting fruit here,” added co-founder Shannon Corbitt.
The idea didn’t take root overnight. The concept grew from the Corbitts’ own kitchen—sparked by Will’s grandmother’s sweet potato pie recipe, a big hit among family and friends.
“We started doing small markets,” Shannon Corbitt said. “But as summers got hotter and we had little babies, we thought, ‘What else can we do? Where else can we showcase the pies?’ Through some divine inspiration, The Vine was born.”
Today, the space hosts a rotating lineup of local vendors, including Kamara Jones, co-owner of Khloe’s Konfections, named after her six-year-old daughter.
“It’s been very fruitful since meeting Shannon and Will,” Jones said. “I kind of fell in love with this place.”
From flavorful food to fashionable flair, The Vine offers something for everyone.
The Vine is located at 2202 Broadway Avenue, open Thursday through Sunday from 9am – 1pm.
