From Rio to rivalries: Cowboys’ 2026 schedule packed with primetime fireworks

The 2026 Dallas Cowboys NFL schedule is out, sparking excitement for fans to plan their fall around key matchups.

DALLAS — The time has come for Dallas Cowboys fans to begin making their fall plans, as the full 2026 NFL season schedule has been officially released.

The first inklings of the Boys’ latest schedule came out in increments over the last several weeks, where we learned about the planned game in Brazil against the Baltimore Ravens, the first-ever game to be played in Rio de Janeiro and one of a record nine international games in the league this season. Also, we got details on the traditional Thanksgiving game – this time it’ll be another scrap with NFC East rival Philadelphia.

Most recently, it was learned that the New York Giants will host the Cowboys to close out the first Sunday of action. Their Sunday Night Football clash on September 13 will take place at Giants Stadium in New Jersey, and Dallas’s home opener will take place the week after in a late afternoon clash with Washington, setting the team up for the long trip to South America.

The season’s end will basically mirror its beginning with a home contest against the Giants in Week 17 and a regular-season finale at Washington. That final game remains the only game with no time or network designation as of yet, given that the league wants to remain as flexible as possible for the final week given how potential playoff scenarios play out.

Stay with WFAA for more breakdowns and analysis of the Cowboys’ entire schedule and make sure to check out flights now for those road trips, especially to Rio.
