Frost Bank Center to become a ‘collector’s paradise’ at Spurs Card Expo

Dozens of vendors will take over the home of the Spurs, where fans will be able to buy, sell and trade cards—as well as nab an exclusive Spurs Coyote cards.

SAN ANTONIO — The hobby of sports card collecting and trading isn’t just a niche one.

According to a recent report by The Economic Times, Walmart sales of card packs surged by 200% between February 2024 and June 2025, propelled by newfound enthusiasm as well as the booming popularity of women’s sports.

Come Nov. 22, San Antonio card collectors won’t have to go very far to gather with like-minded hobbyists to do some trading of their own—as well as nab a ticket to a Spurs game.

The team announced it will turn the Frost Bank Center into a “collector’s paradise” at the San Antonio Spurs Card Expo, featuring 70 vendors where attendees can buy, sell, and trade their own cards and memorabilia. The collaboration with local card shop Boomtown Sports Cards will also give fans a rare chance to get a photo with the Spurs’ NBA championship trophies as the team hunts for a return to the playoffs.

Of course, there’s nothing more exciting when it comes to trading cards than exclusivity… to that end, officials with Spurs Sports & Entertainment say the first 500 through the door on Nov. 22 will get an exclusive Spurs Coyote trading card, 50 of which will be autographed (and, true to the excitement of ripping open a new card pack, randomly distributed).

Tickets for the expo, which runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., cost $20 and are available here. Each comes with a free ticket to the Spurs’ regular season game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Dec. 2. Parking for the event will be free.
