‘Full circle moment’ | Mother of former UTSA standout praises son for accomplishments, going to NFL

SAN ANTONIO — The mother of a former UTSA football player is celebrating her son’s accomplishments as he prepares to train with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a rookie. 

Diana “Momma” Wisdom, mother of former UTSA safety Rashad Wisdom posted pictures over the Mother’s Day weekend of her son’s “full circle moment” on the social media platform X. 

Diana shared pictures of Rashad playing for the Converse Buccaneers as a kid, and also shared a picture of him in his Tampa Bay Buccaneers gear. 

Rashad was described as the heartbeat of the UTSA defense and a fiery competitor, according to the NFL website. 

He was a five-year starter at UTSA who was picked by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a undrafted free agent following the draft on April 27.
