
Galveston Beach Patrol Chief Peter Davis is on leave pending an investigation into unauthorized overnight stays at Stewart Beach Pavillion.
HOUSTON — Galveston Beach Patrol Chief Peter Davis has been placed under unpaid administrative leave while an investigation is underway.
Davis is being investigated after claims were made that he allowed visiting lifeguards from the National Chilean Lifeguard Federation to stay overnight in the Stewart Beach Pavillion, according to the Galveston Park Board.
The Stewart Beach Pavillion was closed to the public at the time Davis allegedly let the lifeguards stay there.
The board said Davis would remain on leave while the claim is being investigated.
KHOU 11 News has reached out to Davis, but we haven’t heard back.
