GALVESTON, Texas — Galveston police say a vehicle drove off a pier into potentially 30 feet of water early Sunday morning.
This happened on Pier 21, which is at the intersection of 21st Street and Harborside Drive.
Police said one person managed to escape the vehicle and told officers there may have been three other people inside. The Coast Guard and a dive team were searching the water Sunday morning.
Galveston police said they believe they have found the car in the water, but there’s no word on the three missing people.
The person who managed to escape was taken to an area hospital. We don’t yet know their condition.
