Gator hiding under car outside Texas church wrangled by police, video shows

The Texarkana Police Department shared video to its Facebook page that showed the officer snagging the little fella by the tail as a car drove away.

TEXARKANA, Texas — Crickey, y’all!

Police in Texarkana had “just your average Wednesday” when officers were called to wrangle an alligator from under a car outside of a church. The Texarkana Police Department shared video to its Facebook page that showed the officer snagging the little fella by the tail as the car it was hiding under drove away.

After the police secured the reptilian friend, the officers, with the help of Texas Game Wardens, relocated the alligator to Bringle Lake, safe and sound.

Here is a look at the capture (and video of the release is in the comments!):

Just your average Wednesday in Texarkana… wrangling an alligator from under a car at Christ Nations Church on Sowell Lane! Big thanks to our officers (who didn’t sign up for gator duty but handled it like pros) and to the Game Warden for guiding its safe relocation to Bringle Lake. Everyone’s safe – especially the gator! 🙂 #texarkanapolice #betterintexarkana
